Sabrina Carpenter can add “becoming Redken’s first hair care ambassador” to her list of summer hits.
The pop star, who become known for her signature long blonde hair, is expected to appear in ads for the L’Oréal-owned brand, kicking off with one for Redken’s Acidic Bonding Concentrate collection later this month.
“Beauty and especially my hair is a big part of my identity,” Carpenter said in a release. “I’ve always dreamed of partnering with a hair brand and waited to find the right partner. It’s been the secret to keeping my hair looking its best and I can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on together.”

Carpenter’s longtime hair stylist Scott King and colorist Laurie Heaps have both joined Redken’s professional talent team. Her stylists say the singer’s coveted bouncy hair and bangs look can be credited to the hair care brand, according to a release.
Redken president Severine Breton added in the release, “Of course, we can’t talk about Sabrina without mentioning her iconic hair. From social media to the streets of New York and everywhere in between, everyone is obsessing over her bangs, her blonde and her blowout. This is our biggest partnership to date, and we couldn’t be more excited. Sabrina’s unapologetic attitude, endless ambition and magnetic energy perfectly align with our core brand values.”
Last week, the 25-year-old singer’s latest release, Short N’ Sweet, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, a first for Carpenter. Carpenter’s latest single “Taste” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with her pre-release singles “Please Please Please” and “Espresso” snagging the third and fourth spots.
All 12 tracks made it onto the chart, ranging from No. 2 to No. 41. She joined Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande as the only women to chart at least three songs on the chart’s top five simultaneously, according to Billboard.
Carpenter is also set to perform during this week’s MTV VMAs, which moved to Sept. 11 from the show’s previously announced Sept. 10 air date, due to that night’s presidential debate.
The pop star’s sold-out Short N’ Sweet Tour will kick off this fall in Columbus, Ohio. Los Angeles will be the North American tour’s last stop, with a show at the Crypto.com Arena on Nov. 15 and two shows at the Kia Forum on Nov. 17 and 18. Redken has joined as an official partner for the tour.
